UNDER 8'S

8 APRIL 2006: MARHAM 1-3 REFFLEY (at Hungate)
In the final game of the season, Reffley battled throughout against a hard working Marham team with the two level at half time. Three changes at half time saw a transformation with Reffley taking the lead through Ryan Higgins after good passing between Ben Harris and Harry Evans. Both Harris and Evans chipped in with a goal each after some excellent passing either side of Marham's reply. Final score in the final game of the season 3-1 to Reffley.

8 APRIL 2006: HUNGATE 1-2 REFFLEY (at Hungate) - Friendly
Callum Hawes scored both in the first half with Hungate also replying before half time. The scoring stopped although the posts were rattled a few times in the second half.
  
1 APRIL 2006: HEACHAM 0-0 REFFLEY (at Heacham)
Very even match with both teams sharing the points in a well fought game ending 0-0. Great credit going to both sets of players who never gave up and although no goals were scored it was a fair result.

1 APRIL 2006: DERSINGHAM C 0-3 REFFLEY (at Heacham) 
It was Dersingham who battled with some excellent defensive play for the first 6 minutes frustrating Reffley until a simple pass from Jack to brother Callum Hawes produced the opener. This was followed a few minutes later as Ben Harris returned a goal kick from halfway into an empty net with one touch, leading to half time. 
 
Reffley remained in charge after the break and Callum Hawes forced an error from the Dersingham defenders which led to the last goal of the game, an own goal.
  
26 MARCH 2006: WOOTTONS 1-2 REFFLEY (at Woottons)
 
 
Hard fought match between the two sides with Reffley edging it 2-1 with an early first half strike from Ryan Higgins followed by a some excellent team work which led to a goal finished by Callum Hawes with the whole team making a good contribution throughout this sunny spring fixture.
  
26 MARCH 2006: WATLINGTON 1-3 REFFLEY (at Woottons) - Friendly 
The Hawes brothers shared the goals (Callum 2 & Jack 1) in this tough Friendly which until the last few minutes was level at 1-1 after Watlington took the lead in the first half. Danny Setchell replaced Ashley Johnson in goal for this game and both players did well in their reversed roles. Well done all the boys.

18 February 2006: FELTWELL V REFFLEY (at Feltwell)
Reffley scored straight away through Callum Hawes in the first minute which stunned Feltwell. A second soon followed from Jack Hawes and then a reply from Feltwell. Jack Hawes' second goal made it 3-1 with a well placed free kick. 
 
The second half saw three changes for Reffley who began to look too strong with Ryan Higgins producing some excellent tackles and with a few minutes left Higgins showed a good turn of foot in the box to score the fourth and his first goal this season. Great effort from both teams. Keep up the good work Boys.

18 February 2006: WOOTTONS V REFFLEY (at Feltwell) - Friendly
This was a very close game with Woottons coming out on top after a good start by Reffley. Danny Setchell opened the scoring with another Callum Hawes goal following. However Woottons kept on strong to eventually win 3-2. Good effort Reffley. Better luck when we play the Woottons next Month.
  
4 February 2006: REFFLEY 1-1 DOWNHAM (at Reffley)
A close game between two equal sides. Downham took a first half lead. After the break, Reffley stepped up a gear and scored through Callum Hawes. There was some nice passing from both teams, but neither was able to find the winner.

10 December 2005: REFFLEY 5-0 DERSINGHAM (at Reffley)
A great display from Reffley who were right up for this game. The goals came from Harry Evans (2), Callum Hawes, Jack Hawes and Danny Setchell. Ashley Johnson was superb in goal with some great clearances and there was also none stop running from Danny Setchell and Callum Hawes. Well done boys for a great effort.
  
10 December 2005: REFFLEY 3-1 WATLINGTON (at Reffley)
Another hard game for Reffley against a useful Wattlington side that were unbeaten Goals from Callum Hawes and an own goal saw Reffley through.

10 December 2005: REFFLEY 5-2 HUNGATE (at Reffley)
This was Reffley's best performance of the season. Credit to Hungate who never gave up. Reffley scored through Ben Harris (2), Callum Chapman (2) and Jack Hawes.
 
Reffley's MotM: Callum Chapman. Well done boys great display.
5 November 2005: FAKENHAM 0-0 REFFLEY (at Fakenham)
In a superb game of football between both sides, Fakenham had the slight edge. Ashley Johnson was superb in goal for Reffley and full of confidence. Jack Hawes also had a fine game at the back. All credit to the entire Reffley team, who never gave up looking for that winning goal.

5 November 2005: REFFLEY 0-1 CLENCHWARTON (at Fakenham)
Another great game with both sides having opportunities to score. The winning goal came from a corner. Again a great display from Reffley, but well done to Clenchwarton.

Reffley U8's would like to thank hosts Fakenham who made them feel welcome and special thanks the referee who was fantastic with the player's.
 

1 October 2005: TILNEY 0-4 REFFLEY (at Dersingham)
Another great display from all the Reffley players. They attacked from the whistle, going ahead through Callum Hawes. Callum went on to score a great hat-trick. Harry Evans added  Reffley's fourth. It was nice to see the girls playing with the boys for Tilney, who battled throughout the game.

1 October 2005: DESINGHAM 3-0 REFFLEY (at Dersingham)
Dersingham took control from the start, proved too strong for Reffley and took a three goal lead into half-time. There was no further score in second half with both teams having attempts on goal. Credit to Reffley who kept battling to the final whistle.
 

24 September 2005: MATTISHALL 3-4 REFFLEY (at Mattishall)
The U
8's kicked off their season at Mattishall on what was a lovely morning for football and nobody was disappointed. Both sides started well but Reffley opened the scoring through Danny Setchell. Reffley went further ahead through Harry Evans. Mattishall replied quicky, but Reffley went 3-1 up through a second Harry Evans strike. In the second half, Mattishall pulled a goal back before Reffley sealed the victory with a fourth, this time through Ben Harris. A great display from both sides, which was played in a very friendly manner.

24 September 2005: SHOULDHAM 0-5 REFFLEY (at Mattishall)
The game started fast with a couple of half chances for Reffley. Ben Harris stole the show in this game with a superb hat-trick. There were also goals from Callum Hawes and Jack Hawes. Shouldham battled through out the game and deserved a lot of credit.
