26 APR 2008: REFFLEY 'A' 8-0 FAKENHAM (at Reffley)
Squad :- Lewis Faulkner,Owen
Norris,Zach Massingham,Will Hawes,Danny Setchall,Alex Brown,Owen
Sott,Callum Hawes
Reffley really dominated this game with some great
1-2 passing which undone Fakenham almost at will.
Alex 'The Silent Assassin' Brown
started the game in mid-field and really showed some great individual
shooting to bag himself a well deserved hatrick today.
Owen 'Scotty'
Scott showed what a fox in the box he
is, and yet again was in the right place at the right time to get
himself another goal to increase his goal tally for the season, the
team really gave an all-round good display of football, not letting the
ball even enter thier own half with
Lewis 'The Cat' Faulkner only touching the ball once in the whole
game, Danny 'Crazy Horse' Setchall
continued to pin Fakenham in their own box with some forceful running
from mid-field which resulted in a defender fouling him in the area to
get a penalty, which he took and with the aid of the upright put in the
back of the net.
With little to do at the back
Zach 'The Juggernaut' Massingham
and Owen 'Too Tall' Norris did a
great job when called upon. Callum 'The
Goal Machine' Hawes gave an unselfish Anelka type performance
with most of his play with his back to goal setting up chances for his
team mate's, this did not stop him scoring two goals which could have
been a possible third but with on-line technology and the replay watched
by the goal's panal it was shown to be aided over the line by
Danny 'Crazy Horse' Setchall.Will
'Charles Charlie Charles' Hawes came on in the second half and
continued to play well and taking on many of the Fakenham side with his
mazzie run's.
Man of the Match : Alex 'The Silent Assassin' Brown
'Get Well Soon' to Ryan Armstrong from the whole team.

'A' (at Wells)
Squad :-
Lewis Faulkner,Cameron Short,Owen
Norris,Ryan Armstrong,Zach Massingham,Will Hawes,Danny Setchall,Owen
Scott,Alex Brown,Callum Hawes
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WEDNESDAY!! Due to cancelled game's
all season this was the start of our Wednesday night game's. At a
cold, windy and rain soaked Wells the team put on a great performance
which rivalled any game in the Champions League.
Will 'Charles Charlie Charles' Hawes
led from the front with a captain like performance, grabbing the game by
the scruff of the neck and taking on successfully at least 6 players
everytime he got the ball, which then seemend to have Wells pinned back
in their own half for most of the game.
With Owen Norris
pushing into mid-field getting some scoring chances during the game and
snubbing out any Wells advances, this then paved the way for
Callum 'The Goal Machine' Hawes
to score a striker's perfect hatrick, 1 with his right foot, 1 with his
left foot and one with his head. Alex
Brown also popped up with a poachers goal in the box to increase
his tally for the season. Cameron Short
in defence seemed to enjoy the conditions and made some important
slide tackles not letting Wells fowards create anything. But they got
the chance after a quick corner and an un-organised defence helping them
to get a life line.
As the three sub's came on in the second half this
made sure Wells would not get anything from the game,Owen
'Scotty' Scott harrasing thier defence,Zach
'The Juggernaut' Massingham pairing up with
Cameron Short making a solid
defence and Danny 'Crazy Horse'
Setchall getting the ball in mid-field and battling so strong
with what seemend 4 players on him everytime to take the play up into
thier half to create chances for other's.
Will 'Charles Charlie Charles'
Hawes could have capped a great
perfomance to score a goal at the end but knocked it agonisingly over
the bar.
Man of the Match :- Will 'Charles Charlie Charles'
Hawes

12 APR 2008: REFFLEY 'A' 0-1
WOOTTONS 'B' (at Reffley)
Squad:-
Lewis
Faulkner,Cameron Short,Owen Norris,Ryan Armstrong,Will Hawes,Zach
Nassingham,Danny Setchall,Owen Scott,Alex Brown,Callum Hawes
Reffley have been putting in great
perfomances against teams higher than them all season and today was no
exception. Reffley absolutely dominated the whole game but the curse of
goal scoring came back, with a bobbly pitch making
Callum Hawes miss a good chance,
Danny Setchall was unlucky to
put some shots wide and their keeper pulling off save's the ball seemed
destined never to go in the goal. Will
Hawes had a good game in mid-field and
Cameron Short and
Owen Norris were like a brick
wall in defence but it took an excellent one-off shot from Woottons from
20 yards to beat Lewis 'The Cat'
Faulkner in the bottom corner.Alex
Brown showed some good fighting spirit but sadly it was a case of
the better team lost today, with performances like this from the whole
team it won't be long before we will be challenging for the title in the
division 1. KEEP IT UP LADS!
Man of the Match :- The whole team
12 APR 2008: REFFLEY 'A' 2-2 WOOTTONS 'A' (at
Reffley)
Squad:-
Lewis
Faulkner,Cameron Short,Owen Norris,Ryan Armstrong,Will Hawes,Zach
Massingham,Danny Setchall,Owen Scott,Alex Brown,Callum Hawes
A change of squad for this game saw
Zach Massingham in mid-field,Owen
'Scotty' Scott buzzing around up front and
Ryan Armstrong in defence,but
unfortunately the players from the first game looked jaded from the
result and thier hard work, this allowed Woottons 'A' to get the first
goal.Reffley then sparked into life and started to push the Woottons
back in thier own half , Danny 'Crazy
Horse' Setchall then picked up the ball on the left hand side and
smashed a rasping shot from about 25 yards out which had the keeper
flapping like a seal and hopeless to stop the thunder-bolt which then
deservedly brought Reffley back on level terms. In the second half
Reffley continued to push for the second goal which came from another
mazing run from Callum 'The Goal
Machine' Hawes who seems sometimes to have the ball super glued
to his feet.Yet again Reffley continued to miss chances in front of goal
and it had to be an acrobatic save stopping the ball on the line to keep
out a close range shot from Owen
'Scotty' Scott. In the dying seconds Woottons found themselves
one on one with the keeper,Lewis 'The
Cat' Faulkner pulled off a good first save but could'nt keep out
the second.
Man of the Match :-
Danny 'Crazy Horse' Setchall
Special thanks to Paul 'Tatts' Taylor
for reffing and keeping all the female fans happy when he took off his
tracky bottoms and showed off his legs.

04 APR 2008: DERSINHAM 'B' 2-2 REFFLEY 'A' (at
Dersingahm)
Squad: Lewis Faulkner,Cameron Short,Ryan Armstrong,Owen Norris,Zach
Massingham,Danny Setchall,Will Hawes,Owen Scott,Alex Brown,Callum Hawes
Reffley started this game very strong pinning the team higher than them
in the league back in thier own half from the whistle. After good
battling from Will Hawes,Danny Setchall and Alex Brown this gave Callum
Hawes the chance to put the away side 1-0 in front.Reffley then relaxed
allowing Dersingham to get a goal back straight away, but with everyone
raising thier game again the lead was then restored with Callum Hawes
getting his second of the game. With the game coming to an end
Dersingham made thier pressure pay with another equiliser making it
2-2,in the final seconds of the game Lewis Faulkner pulled off another
good save to give Reffley a well deserved point.
Man of the Match : Callum Hawes
04 APR 2008: REFFLEY 'A' 5-1 TERRINGTON
Squad: Lewis Faulkner,Cameron
Short,Ryan Armstrong,Owen Norris,Zach Massingham,Danny Setchall,Will
Hawes,Owen Scott,Alex Brown,Callum Hawes
A change of squad giving Zach Massingham his first game out-field,Owen
Scott up front and Ryan Armstrong in defence proved to pay as Reffley
really showed thier dominance in this game running away with it as 5-1
winners.Danny Setchall capped a good display all day with a well
deserved hatrick in this game,Zach Massingham then rose like a salmon in
the box to knee in his first goal for the team followed by a good
celebration. With Owen Scott buzzing around the opposition defenders this
allowed Goal Machine Callum Hawes to bag another goal .Well done to
Lewis (the cat) Faulkner in goal and Owen Norris a rock in defence.
Man of the Match : Danny Setchall

29 MAR 2008: REFFLEY 'A' 1-2
HUNGATE (at Reffley)
Squad: Lewis Faulkner,Cameron
Short,Ryan Armstrong,Will Hawes,Danny Setchall,Owen Scott,Alex
Brown,Callum Hawes
Lewis Faulkner made his debut in goal
today and what a debut, pulling off a string of brave saves and goal line
clearences against the run-away league leaders. This encouraged the rest
of the team and Reffley started to dominate the game against the much
bigger and stronger Hungate.Callum
Hawes smashed in a goal from an acute angle after excellent work
from the midd-field battling duo of
Will Hawes and Danny Setchall.In
the second half the League leaders got jittery and stuck a foward
permanently in the Reffley box (roll-on the offside rule).Cameron
Short had a good game in deffence but could'nt keep out the
pressure from Hungate and they got two last minute goals ruinning a good
allround team display from Reffley. But the day belonged to debutee goal
keeper Lewis Faulkner who
certainly staked a claim for a permanent place after a Peter Bonnetti
type display today.
Man Of The Match:
Lewis (the cat) Faulkner
29 MAR 2008: REFFLEY 'A' 4-1 WELLS (at Reffley)
- Friendly
Reffley made hard work of this game to start with but
Danny Setchall showed his
quality with two goals and another battling display after linking well
with Callum Hawes and
Alex
Brown. With Reffley dominating
the game it seemend they did'nt need to get out of second gear against a
weakend Wells side. With pressure coming from a corner
Alex Brown bravelly nodded in a
goal, but it was a Ronaldo type strike from what seemed 25 yards out from
Will Hawes at the end of the
game that had the crowd cheering.Well done to a strong defensive display
from Cameron Short and
Ryan Armstrong all day.Thanks to
all parents and family members who helped out with the tuck shop (Mr
Kiplen watch out).

Will Hawes

01 MAR 2008: HEACHAM
3-1 REFFLEY 'A' (at Hungate)
Squad: Zach Massingham,Ryan Armstrong,Cameron Short,Lewis
Faulkner,Will Hawes,Owen Norris,Owen Scott,Alex Brown,Danny
Setchall,Callum Hawes
Reffley started the game quite strong
with a very heavy wind behind their backs. After pressure from the two
forwards Alex Brown created an opportunity which Danny Setchall slotted
away for Reffley's first goal which looked to be the first of many.Lewis
Faulkner and Will Hawes had a good game in mid-field but with the change
of half, a heavy wind in their face's and Heacham getting more possesion
they became tired.
This then saw Heacham get a goal after
some good pressure,Cameron Short and Ryan Armstrong were strong in
defence and with the two tired midfeilders coming off and fresh legs
coming on Reffley then started to run the game again. After some good
opportunity's to score Callum Hawes went on a winding run on the right
hand side and slotted the ball passed the keeper at the near post.
Callum then layed off a good ball outside of the box for Danny Setchall
to blast home in the bottom corner.
Well done to the
whole squad who played well to grind out a result in the horrible
conditions.
M.O.M.
Danny Setcall.
01 MAR 2008:
HUNGATE 3-1 REFFLEY 'A' (at Hungate) - Friendly
Ryan Armstrong had a go at being in goal for this
game and did well but with a strong wind in his face could'nt keep out
the strong team of Hungate who finaly won the game 3-1. But this was
after an excellent display in the first half which shocked the league
leaders. Danny Setchall popped up early on and scored a good goal
to stun Hungate, with the whole team playing very well they got tired as
the game went on with such a large pitch and a heavy wind which almost
made goal kick's sail back over the keepers heads. A good solid display
today showing that Reffley are not far off battling with the big teams
for the title next year.

REFFLEY 'A' (at Woottons)
Squad: Zach Massingham, Ryan Armstrong,
Sam Last, Cameron Short, Will Hawes, Owen Norris, Danny Setchall, Alex
Brown.
The season kicked off with a well fought match between Reffley
and Woottons 'B', both teams working hard for each other, then Woottons
scored early with a break away goal. Woottons then scored their second
hotly disputed goal which the supporters, the opposition manager and
both the teams could see that our defender Ryan Armstrong was clearly
fouled in our box with the offender then turning and scoring but sadly
the referee didn't see and allowed the goal, this then spurred Reffley on
and they created 5 or 6 good goal scoring opportunities with Danny Setchall and
Alex Brown both unlucky not to
convert any of them. The Woottons then killed the game off with an
unlucky own goal coming from a corner. A great game from both teams with
all the players showing a good attitude.

15 SEPT 2007: TERRINGTON 1-4 REFFLEY 'A' (at
Woottons)
Squad:Zach Massingham, Ryan Armstrong,
Sam Last, Cameron Short, Will Hawes, Owen Norris, Danny Setchall, Alex
Brown.
Reffley came out for their second game fired up from the previous game
and scored early with a good solo run finishing with a goal from
Danny Setchall. After an amount
of pressure coming from all the team
Cameron Short scored with a bullet header from a good taken
corner. Owen Norris then capped
off a good performance up front with a goal which enabled the Reffley
lads to take their foot off the gas a little. Terrington Tigers then
fought back well to get a good goal. An own goal was then scored by
Terrington off a corner from Reffley which was unjust for the Terrington
keeper who had an excellent game pulling off some good save's to keep
the score down.
Alex Brown gave his all in
both game's with Ryan Armstrong
and Sam Last having a solid
performance. Thank you to Zach
Massingham for playing well in goal all day.
