ASHLEY JOHNSON
(Goal Keeper)
Ashley started training for
Reffley at the age of 5. He went on to play for Under 7’s,
Under 8’s and now for the Under 9’s.
He started in the outfield but soon reverted to goalkeeper. His
confidence continues to grow. Shouting instructions to his
fellow players has made him the obvious choice for team
captain.
Ashley also enjoys playing golf, going to the Discovery Centre
and playing pool. He enjoys watching the Linnets play with his
grandad Roger. His favourite football team is Chelsea and his
ambition is to play for them one day. His favourite player is
Michael Ballack.
Ashley would love to follow in his dads footsteps, and reach the
under 16’s as Reffley Goalkeeper and make his grandad Dave
proud as he was one of the founders of Reffley Football Club.

CALLUM CHAPMAN
(Defender)
|
Callum is a
defender capable of playing on either the left or the right side
of the defence. He has a very good throw in and a quick turn of
speed. He sometimes ventures forward. but appreciates his role
in the team. He is improving all the time and is a real asste to
the side in defence.

JACK HAWES
(Defender)
|
Jack Hawes is a
defender who reads the ball well and can be relied upon to get a
tackle in when needed. He passes the ball well and is strong in
his tackles, has a good shot scoring several goals from long
range. He supports Newcastle and his favourite player Obafemi Martins.

CALLUM HAWES
(Midfielder)
|
Callum Hawes is
the younger brother of jack and youngest of the team. Last years
Player of the Year and top goal scorer. He is quick and skillful
looking to score. He supports Chelsea and his favourite player
is Frank Lampard.

JOSH MURRAY
(Midfielder)
|
Joshua is new to
football only taking up the sport this season. He is strong,
fast, not afraid to tackle and is improving week by week. He
hopes to be great asset to the team. Joshua is also a keen
gymnast and has won several medals and trophies for his
acrobatics.

HARRY EVANS
(Midfielder)
|
Harry is a very
fair minded player and football is his main passion. He takes
everything aboard and tries his hardest to do it. Harry also
likes Dr Who, The Simpsons, football stickers, cubs and Arsenal,
much to the disappointment of his Leicester City supporting Dad.

NATHAN WINNER
(Midfielder)

Nathan James winner started
training for Reffley Football Club when he was 8 years old.
Nathan supports Liverpool and his ambition is to play for them
one day. His favourite player is Steven Gerrard. His career
started as a midfielder, but is now a defender when called for,
but he sometimes gets to play his role as a midfielder. He
tackles a lot and he's not afraid to get stuck in when he plays
football. He's got a good right foot on him, but he goes up
front most of the time. His shirt number is 11. He also takes
part in swimming and Sunday soccer school. |

BEN HARRIS
(Striker)

Ben really enjoys
playing football on a Saturday and any other time. He is getting
the hang of his new role in defence. H0e grits his teeth and is
not afraid to put a tackle in. Ben is a Chelsea supporter he
also takes part in cubs and judo.

BENEDICT HAZLE

JORDAN TURNER
(Striker)
|
Jordan is a no nonsense, tough tackling player with a terrific
eye for goal. Jordan already has a Mid Norfolk U9s championship
medal which he won with East Lynn last season and would like to
win it again with Reffley this time around. Jordan also enjoys
swimming and watching American Wrestling but unfortunately
supports Manchester Utd.

VINCE CHAPMAN
(Co-Manager)
|
Vince is the father of Callum, married to Jackie and has
another son called Scott. Originally watched the Reffley
team his son played in but then got more and more involved with
the club as time went on. Successfully qualified in the Level 1
Coaching Certificate and Child Protection Workshop in 2006.

JIMMY TURNER
(Co-Manager)

Father of Jordan and an Aston Villa fan. Given the chance to
help manage Reffley U9s this season. I am married to Sue and
also I have daughter called Meah. For my sins I am also a
level 4 Referee. I would describe myself as quite shy and softly
spoken.
