REFFLEY 'A' U10's PLAYERS PROFILES
MID-NORFOLK YOUTH LEAGUE 2007-08
(Managers: Vince Chapman & Jimmy Turner)

ASHLEY JOHNSON
(Goal Keeper)

Ashley started training for Reffley at the age of 5. He went on to play for Under 7’s, Under 8’s and now for the Under 9’s.

He started in the outfield but soon reverted to goalkeeper. His confidence continues to grow. Shouting instructions to his fellow players has made him the obvious choice for team captain.

Ashley also enjoys playing golf, going to the Discovery Centre and playing pool. He enjoys watching the Linnets play with his grandad Roger. His favourite football team is Chelsea and his ambition is to play for them one day. His favourite player is Michael Ballack.

Ashley would love to follow in his dads footsteps, and reach the under 16’s as Reffley Goalkeeper and make his grandad Dave proud as he was one of the founders of Reffley Football Club.

CALLUM CHAPMAN
(Defender)

Callum is a defender capable of playing on either the left or the right side of the defence. He has a very good throw in and a quick turn of speed. He sometimes ventures forward. but appreciates his role in the team. He is improving all the time and is a real asste to the side in defence.

JACK HAWES

(Defender)

Jack Hawes is a defender who reads the ball well and can be relied upon to get a tackle in when needed. He passes the ball well and is strong in his tackles, has a good shot scoring several goals from long range. He supports Newcastle and his favourite player Obafemi Martins.

CALLUM HAWES
(Midfielder)

Callum Hawes is the younger brother of jack and youngest of the team. Last years Player of the Year and top goal scorer. He is quick and skillful looking to score. He supports Chelsea and his favourite player is Frank Lampard.

JOSH MURRAY
(Midfielder)

Joshua is new to football only taking up the sport this season. He is strong, fast, not afraid to tackle and is improving week by week. He hopes to be great asset to the team. Joshua is also a keen gymnast and has won several medals and trophies for his acrobatics.

HARRY EVANS
(Midfielder)

Harry is a very fair minded player and football is his main passion. He takes everything aboard and tries his hardest to do it. Harry also likes Dr Who, The Simpsons, football stickers, cubs and Arsenal, much to the disappointment of his Leicester City supporting Dad.

NATHAN WINNER
(Midfielder)

Nathan James winner started training for Reffley Football Club when he was 8 years old. Nathan supports Liverpool and his ambition is to play for them one day. His favourite player is Steven Gerrard. His career started as a midfielder, but is now a defender when called for, but he sometimes gets to play his role as a midfielder. He tackles a lot and he's not afraid to get stuck in when he plays football. He's got a good right foot on him, but he goes up front most of the time. His shirt number is 11. He also takes part in swimming and Sunday soccer school.

BEN HARRIS
(Striker)

Ben really enjoys playing football on a Saturday and any other time. He is getting the hang of his new role in defence. H0e grits his teeth and is not afraid to put a tackle in. Ben is a Chelsea supporter he also takes part in cubs and judo.

BENEDICT HAZLE
(Striker)

JORDAN TURNER

(Striker)

Jordan is a no nonsense, tough tackling player with a terrific eye for goal. Jordan already has a Mid Norfolk U9s championship medal which he won with East Lynn last season and would like to win it again with Reffley this time around. Jordan also enjoys swimming and watching American Wrestling but unfortunately supports Manchester Utd.

VINCE CHAPMAN
(Co-Manager)

Vince is the father of Callum, married to Jackie and has another  son called Scott. Originally watched the Reffley team his son played in but then got more and more involved with the club as time went on.
