22 MAR 2008: WEST WINCH 1-0 REFFLEY 'B' (at Shouldham)

Reffley going into this game knew a draw would secure at least joint first place.

Playing against our rival's this game started like all other's between us.Reffley starting and controlling early play.Thier were few chances created in the first half.Half time 0 . 0.Only 15 minute's from being league winner's.Second half saw reffley make chance's to win game the game only for the final passto be to long or find a winch defender. To winch credit they were alway's waitng for a break and they got the break with about 8 minute's to go.Winch player going on a run who was judged to have been brought down in box.Penalty goalkeeper jason had no chance from a well taken penalty.

I said to boy's after the game thier was no more they could have done.Again just not our day the old saying haunt's footballs a funny old game. So runnner's up spot it is for this season what an echivement for the boy's well done.

Another superb display against a spirted East Lynn side. Reffley scorer's were Keenan Thompson 4  who was awsome covering every inch of the pitch, and Zac Robson. Once again well done boy's great team spirit and display.

Reffley player's and parent's would like to thank the refferee who controlled both game's superbly.

26 JAN 2008: OLD HUNSTANTON 2-1 REFFLEY 'B' (at Watlington)

We  knew this would be a tough game for reffley. We made a bright start with the old keeper making a fine save.We took the lead through a well taken goal from finlay bloodworth. We pressed for a second only to be denied by the goalkeeper. The second half was a different story' firstly we lost our striker zac through a challange then old hunstanton scored. With thier head's high they controlled the game. Then another injury this time our key defender declan with a nasty blow to his knee. With the game ending old scored the winner.

26 JAN 2008: WATLINGTON 1-0 REFFLEY 'B' (at Watlington)

With injuries and heads down another defeat we opened brightly but could not find the net.Watlington scoring a superbly struck shot to win the game. Today summed it up footballs a funny old game' beaten but not down .

01 DEC 2007: REFFLEY 'B' 1-0 WATLINGTON (at Reffley)

A good battling performance from Reffley saw them take all three points in a closely contested game, on a bumpy pitch that made it difficult for both teams to play accurate passing football. The first half saw Reffley have the better of the few chances created by both sides. Reffley were content to play on the counter attack with Finlay, Keenan and Joe winning the ball in midfield and playing the ball into space for Zac to attack.

With the score 0-0 at half time, Jamie replaced Joe on the right wing. Watlington started the second half brightly, pinning Reffley back into their own penalty area with a series of corners that Reffley struggled to deal with. Eventually Reffley got going and started to find space down both wings. With about 5 mins remaining Reffley broke down the right wing and a good cross into the area was met with a side foot volley into the bottom corner of the net by Finlay. Watlington battled to equalise but Reffley held out comfortably until the final whistle.

01 DEC 2007: REFFLEY 'B' 2-1 SHOULDHAM (at Reffley)

Reffley started with a change in defence with Thomas partnering Callum and Declan moving into centre midfield alongside Kennan and Finlay. Reffley started this game brightly and took the lead within the first five minutes when Finlay got his second goal of the day, side footing the ball passed the Shouldham keeper from close range. Reffley created most of the chances in the rest of the first half but found the Shouldham keeper in good form.

The second half continued in much the same way as the first until a break away by Shouldham resulted in them scoring after the ball broke free in the penalty area.  Reffley immediately went on the attack and swiftly took the lead when Kennan found space and time in the penalty area to score. Both teams created chances in the remaining minutes, but Jason in the Reffley goal comfortably dealt with any Shouldham shots.

Many thanks to Nick Hay and all at Watlington for hosting this round of league fixtures.

10 NOV 2007: WEST WINCH 1-0 REFFLEY 'B' (at West Winch)

Going in to this game we knew we were in for a battle with four player's missing. The game started of fast and furious. West Winch side were strong and physical but we battled away 0-0 at half time.

The second half started as the first west winch scoring a cracking goal flying past Jason in goal. We then dug in and started to control the game making chance's. Also Jason made some great saves we just needed that final touch. But in the end time ran out well done to West Winch in what was a cracking game of football.

10 NOV 2007: HUNGATE 1-1 REFFLEY 'B' (at West Winch)

Hungate came flying at us and we were lucky not to go behind. After five minute's we came to life and started to string some passes together. And just before half time we took the lead through Keenan Thompson. We then played as a team taking control of the game. Hungate scoring half way through the second half we pushed and pushed but just as the first game could not find the net. WELL DONE BOY'S GREAT GAMES TODAY KEEP IT UP.

13 OCT 2007: REFFLEY 4-1 EAST LYNN (at Shouldham)

This game was contested by two evenly matched sides and was much closer than the scoreline suggests. The first 10 mins was fairly even with chances for both sides before some good passing released Zac Robson who confidently fired the ball passed the East Lynn keeper to open the scoring for Reffley.

East Lynn won a corner from the restart. From the corner the ball pinged around the penalty area before some poor defending allowed East Lynn time and space to shoot passed an unsighted Jason Mitchell in the Reffley goal to equalise. East Lynn finished the half the stronger team but there were few chances to score.

The second half had barely got underway before East Lynn won a penalty for a late challenge. Jason held his nerve and although the penalty was well struck, saved the kick. Reffley now started to pass the ball around much better and after some good work down the left wing by Connor Leggett the ball was crossed to an unmarked Jamie Wilson who calmly side footed the ball into the corner of the net.

Reffley had their tails up now and put East Lynn under continued pressure. Making good progress down the left wing Connor, Zac and Finley Bloodworth passed the ball around until it was crossed to Jamie, unmarked again, who calmly slotted the ball into the corner of the net.

As East Lynn pushed to get back into the game there was more space for Reffley to pass the ball around, and eventually the ball found Finley just outside the penalty area and his shot flew into the net passed an unsighted East Lynn keeper. East Lynn continued to create chances and Jason had to make a smart save by his near post.

Kennan Thompson and George Morton then defended defiantly to keep out a determined East Lynn as the game came to an end. Man of the match was Kennan for excellent tackling in defence and good distribution of the ball in midfield.

29 SEPT 2007: REFFLEY 5-1 DERSINGHAM 'B' (at Reffley)

Reffley kicked of new season with two home game's the first against Dersingham .The first few moment's Reffley looked nervous then they put all the summer's hard work in to play with goal's coming from Keenan 2 Findlay 2 and Zac. Dersingham scored a deserved goal in a great display of football by both team's.

29 SEPT 2007: REFFLEY 3-0 OLD HUNSTANTON (at Reffley)

Myself and mark told the boy's not to get carried away with the result from the first game.

The first half was very even with few chances. Second half we started to move the ball quicker and made our tackles more meaningful and we took the lead through Zac Robson from then on Reffley surged forward at every oppurtunity scoring two more goals Jamie scoring one and again Zac getting his second . GREAT START BOY'S WELL DONE YOU DERSERVE THIS .
