REPORT
Having started the tournament with a triumphant 2-0 win over the hosts
WSM and holding North Lynn 0-0, the girls went into their next game
exhausted from the extreme heat but leading their group.
They lost to Walpole and then needed to win or draw to go through to the
next round but having waited nearly an hour and a half between games
everyone had lost the enthusiasm of the morning and fought hard but lost
3-1.
Some very good performances from all squad members despite the unusually
long wait between games and a chance to see both Ray Wilkins and the FA
Cup and Community Shield close up.
