DEC 2007: LITCHAM 12-1 REFFLEY
Here we
are again this time we turned up at Litcham with only 9 players
Chris,
Rick,
Ben
&
Marc
all unable to make it.
Wet,
windy & short of players not good for Reffley but as always the Reffley
lads just wanted to play football.
We
started well holding the Litcham lads back for the first 20 minutes then
we conceded our first goal but
Tom
was soon able to equalise by creating a shot out of nothing.
Unfortunately
Craig
miss
kicked a clearance & scored an own goal bringing the half time score to
3 - 1.
Shortly
after the start of the second half
Craig
pulled
up with a muscle injury leaving us with 8 players then things went from
bad to worse as
Ash
had to come off with a shoulder injury now we where down to 7 players &
it was just impossible to stop the Litcham lads but as usual we battle
to the end final score 12 - 1.
Man of
the match goes to
Tom
as the lone figure up front. Well played.
Pat
yourselves on the backs lads you got filth dirty, soaking wet & played
some great football well done to one & all.

25 NOV 2007: WOOTTONS 8-2 REFFLEY - (League KO Cup - Q/F)
Once again we turned up with only 11
players and no sub's (getting to be a bit of a habit).
With John unable to make it due to
family commitments , Dave unwell & Marc still out recovering from an
ankle injury picked up sometime ago. We started well only to be
in-flicked with yet more injury problems when Rick twisted his ankle
about 5 minutes after kick off leaving us to play the whole game
with just 10 players.
Wootton had managed to pull
together a very strong squad this week giving us very few chances &
with Kev are keeper playing for the first time in 6 weeks a few
mistakes were made allowing Woottons to take the lead & build on
that lead quickly. We as usual battle on & managed to score 2 goals
Brad getting the first & Ash getting the second final
score Woottons 8 Reffley 2
Reffley's man of the match goes to
Ash who had a fantastic game.
Very well played to you all.

11 NOV 2007: EAST LYNN 'B' 0-6 REFFLEY
The Reffley lads seemed to have a point to
prove to everybody, with Marc out of action from an ankle injury picked
up from last weeks game & Kev our goal keeper still unable to play in
goal as he is still recovering from a broken bone in his hand Reffley
have not had the best of starts to this season.
However with Chris covering our goal
keeper's position yet again when called on he played a superb game. The
lads where told the importance of this game & how it would affect their
position in the league tables they where asked to give it their all to
prove themselves & prove themselves they did.
A cold windy morning sign’s of rain in
the sky’s & with the option not to play as the ref had not turned up I
put it to the lads & with a unanimous decision we took the option to
play football with the East Lynn’s manager standing in as the ref.
The Reffley lads played their socks off fighting for every ball, winning
almost every ball all the training came together by the half time
whistle the score was East Lynn 0 Reffley 3 (Hat-trick by Ben).
The second half started, this time we
where playing up hill & with a strong side wind this did not deter the
Reffley lads as Brad was able to score another great goal, then
Ben got his fourth (our fifth) & Tom sealed the deal with
the sixth & final goal.
Gentlemen it seems to have taken a long
time but today you all proved what you can do if you believe in
yourselves. The defence where outstanding, the midfield worked
incredibly hard & it paid off & the strike force played with great
determination & the will to win that we’ve possibly lacked in previous
games. Well done to you all.
Reffley’s man of the match goes to
Ben not just for the four goals that he scored but also for the hard
work done to assist in the whole team performance.

2007: REFFLEY 1-5 DEREHAM TOWN
With Kev our keeper still out of action Chris has
stood in again, also Kyle is still under the weather & Ricky unable to
make this match we find ourselves down to just 11 players. After last
weeks 12 - 3 defeat we where pleased to have Lewis back & our new
signing Ben Oliver makes his debut. We where awarded a penalty after Ben
was taken out inside the box with in the first 10 minutes which Brad our
captain buried in the bottom corner giving the keeper no chance. We
where able to hold this slim lead up until 3 minutes to go in the first
half when Dereham beat our off side trap giving them the equaliser
closely followed by another on the half time whistle. (half time score 1
- 2) The second half was not good for Marc as he got caught on the right
ankle from a heavy tackle putting him out of action bring us to 10
players however we battled on not giving up for a minute.
Great play from you all very difficult to pick
man of the match this week as the defence had really stepped up their
game, the midfield where fighting for everything & the strikers just
wouldn’t give up. You should all be proud of yourselves.
Reffley’s goal scorer Brad.
Man of the match goes to Chris brilliant
job in goal.

2007: DEREHAM TOWN 12-3 REFFLEY
With not having played for 4 week’s due to
postponements, injuries & illnesses etc we went across to Dereham with a
weakened team but with a team that just wanted to play football. With
Kev our goal keeper injured, Tom just back in action after a broken
wrist, Kyle & Lewis unable to make it we played with just 10 men.
Dereham a very well organised, strong attacking team soon took the lead
but with hard work & determination we where able to pull back one goal
in the first half going in at 5 - 1 at the half time whistle. The second
half was no better for us as Marc took a knock on his ankle putting him
out of action just moments after the half had started bringing us to
only 9 players, we conceded another 7 goals but with an outstanding
clearance from inside our own half Brad scored our second. With only
minutes to go we where able to pick the ball up from our defence feed it
through our front players giving Brad a second chance to get onto the
score sheet.
Well played gentlemen great game special thanks
to Chris for standing in for Kev in goal.
Man of the match goes to
Brad.

23 SEPT 2007: REFFLEY 1-2 OUTWELL SWIFTS
Outwell
Swifts came to Reffley with again a very strong squad & gave us a very
good game of football, Outwell Swifts where able to take the lead giving
them a 2 - 0 score line at half time. Reffley where able to pull a goal
back but where unlucky not to find the equaliser.
Another great game well played guy’s.
Reffley’s goal scorer
Tom.
Man of the match goes to Joe.

16 SEPT 2007: FAKENHAM 6-2 REFFLEY
Second game of the
season playing much better as a team Fakenham being a very strong squad
they took an early lead followed shortly by their second, However with
the wind against us & some great football we where able to pull back to
2 - 2 at the half time whistle. The second half started well & then
Reffley seemed to fall asleep for about 15 minutes allowing Fakenham to
hit the back of the net with another four goals.
Gentlemen we must
stay switch on for the full 80 minutes.
Reffley’s goal scorers Chris & Tom.
Man of the match goes to Lewis.

9 SEPT 2007: REFFLEY 0-1 EAST LYNN 'B'
Our first game
of the season with some new players we could have done with a few more
practise games to settle the team, However it was a very even match
until 5 minutes to go when East Lynn got a very lucky goal after our
keeper had cleared the ball hitting one of our defenders & then falling
into the path of an East Lynn player who was able to take a touch into
the back of the net giving them the win.
Very well played to
all the lads (new kit look’s good many thanks to our sponsors).
Man of the match goes to Craig.
